but then we grew up
having been to the bottom 
of the darkest hours of alone
having reached the end of the argument
about everything being so wrong and why
and we had no answer 
and we were still standing
and we noticed kids smiling 
and bumblebee buzzing
around the barbecue 
among the bloom of spring flowers
little reasons to keep on
without that answer
